In No Words Or Less
A life with horses and photographyArchive for Uncategorized
so long… farewell… auf wiedersein… goodbye…
just a little note that my blog has moved (finally) to my domain…
you can find it here
Called the same thing, but just in a different place
more haste, less speed
ok.
so the boy’s deployment details have changed radically.
he’s no longer going to Germany first (from august)..
he is now, apparently, just going with a unit, straight from Hawaii, back to Iraq. September or November.
So now.
i HAVE to get to Hawaii.
I was hoping to go to Germany in September (as it’s way cheaper to get a ticket… about half the price of a ticket to Hawaii) but now that’s not an option.
So Hawaii here I come.
I just have to do it.
So. I need money.
urgenly, and in large amounts.
i’m working my ass off, but every little bit helps.
so please buy my art.
also – any suggestions on how to get some relatively easy money, quickly, would be appreciated.
i’m going to be sending some stock photos in to iStock… since the new camera is so spiffy she makes everything look good, and the quality is superb.
HELP. STOP.
SEND MONEY.
STOP.
I NEED TO FLY.
STOP.
IDL Avante’ and Giselle
Clearing a jump with ease at the Glen Ellen show jumping in Hout Bay, on Sunday 27 January 2008
Catch The Eye
Isn’t he gorgeous?
I finally worked out how to get the photos from my cellphone! Yay clever me!
The power of love
Still going strong and 19 years old – the incredible Hakahana Anjuli and her beloved rider Mandy.
Eagle’s Wigwam and Michelle
Despite being a nervous nelly, Wigwam excelled this Friday at the first official day of show jumping at the Constantia Cape Show!
Photos from Friday are up, and Saturday and Sunday to follow shortly.
Storm vs The Mole
Little Storm, still watching that molehole at the end of a very long day, and weekend, at the SDRC Eventing.
Goldmark Brutus and Dawn Newman
Heard the terrible news this afternoon, that Brutus is dead.
Killed by idiotic people who stole the electric fencing (for the copper wire) around his paddock.
I cannot even find the words for how angry I am at those … disgusting scum (i won’t even call them people)
and i cannot find the words to express how sad i am at the loss of this magnificent horse with the heart of a lion.
I am honoured to have been able to take his photograph.
Caramba Steaming
SDRC SANEF Qualifying rounds were held on Saturday and Sunday (i only made Sunday).
Early morning was very cold but it turned into a bright beautiful mild day – perfect weather for dressage.
There were some awesome tests – and this was only the warmup for next weekend’s big SANEF dressage show.
I must admit, i did want to go to George for the eventing (all my faves are off to that) but i couldn’t afford it right now, and i was asked to be the official photographer at the SANEF dressage anyway… and i do love my dressage…
SDRC Dam&Dyke
One of my favourite shots from last weekends Dam&Dyke competition.
Turbo Flo and Belinda
Held at the Stellenbosch Riding Club – it was a day of intermittant BUCKETING rain, and dark broody clouds.
The light was so bad in the morning that i missed 2 rounds of show jumping because my camera just couldn’t take a clear shot!
It got better later, and when it rained i huddled in a deserted dressage judge box ![]()
