memory loss
A few days grace then i’m off to house sit for J in noordhoek. No TV again *sigh*
Working at the vet’s tonight and tomorrow (late shift) and then thursday and friday till the end of december. I’m a little nervous, but trying to remain calm. At least the Doc doesn’t perform operations in the evenings (as far as i know). I just have to keep my wits about me, because it gets pretty busy at night (everyone buying food and stuff on their way home from work)
hopefully i will cope.
met another old school buddy last night (while getting takeaways!) but i cannot remember his name. how sad is that?? i remember him, so well, and all the people we spoke about, but i can’t remember HIS name. another good friend, school chum. he looks good too – healthy and happy. he didn’t say if he was married, i don’t think so because of the reactions to the news that AB was married! and all our other friends! heh. as sweet as i remember. just wish i could remember his darn name!! kevin? no… kevin was someone else. david? no.. don’t think so… kyle? no. kyle was that hotty a year behind. *strains*
no, cannot remember, and all my photographs are in the garage somewhere. Daniel? *sigh*
no.
oh well…
we move on.

Other places
Met an old friend from school today, in the oddest of places.
Took Tequila for her morning walk down at Sandvlei and i bumped into AB. He’s been married for “about 9 years” and he has a little girl who was clinging to his side like a limpet. “She’s usually more talkative” he said, but i said it’s fine, i have that effect on people. He laughed. he works in the last place i’d ever think he would be (a minister in a church! and at the Bible institute) but he looked happy, and good. Different. But we recognised each other. I was surprised he recognised me.
We were friends all the way through school, then i think we both kinda dropped off the map. He went to university, and then overseas, got married, he said. I’m a photographer, i said. It sounds so lame now. *sigh*
I miss school. Despite the homework and tests and “cool kids”, i had fun there. i was safe there.
I got to see my friends every single day. I was fit and healthy and thin.
life goes on.
Been house sitting in Muizemberg for nearly 3 weeks now… exhausted. Tequila is a darling puppy, but full of energy and such a loud mouth! She talks and tells me all about EVERYTHING. But she’s gorgeous, so it’s cool
Blues, Rock and Roll keep me company too, now that they are used to me. Such silly kitties.
They come back wednesday, lunchtime… i get a few days grace after that. then it’s on to the next. i’m so tired already.
