Equine Chronic Sacroiliac Subluxation. An Old Problem – A Novel Therapeutic Approach

Discovered the exact problem that Lady had… also called “floating” – not a floating tendon injury though, as i first thought based on what S told me.

Rest in Peace, Beautiful Lady

T had to put Lady down this morning.
She apparently had what’s called a “floating tendon” injury, from her racing career.
She was in incredible pain.
T is devastated. Another poor young baby horse she’s lost now.
I know that Lady will be running through fields with Belter now. In a much better place.

I’m so heartbroken. She was such a lovely, talented, horse.

My favourite photo from the show today!

i saw just a little bit of my future…

… and it was ok. It was good.

So now to try and get there!

Working for C in her shop, tomorrow and Saturday – some cashola on the way, thank goodness. And when she is done with her stocktake, i shall be taking her shiny new laptop home with me to work on data input… everyone knows how much i love to do that! :)
AND I will get paid for it! BONUS!

I also called work to see what’s going on with my pension payout – the lady there said I should have received my payout by now, and she will look into it asap. Of course UCT “asap” is different to the real world’s asap :D
but it’s at least a start… and i’ll keep bugging her – so she’ll have to do something to get rid of me!

Rode Trafalgar today and yesterday, as poor M is rather ill and asked me if i could make it down to ride for her. Was fun! He’s such a sweet horse, full of nonsense. Never a dull moment when riding Traffie, that’s for sure!

I want to go to Vietnam!
I want to start my violin lessons too!
I want to get a nice snazzy new digital camera for my show photos, so i can get started on some new printouts for J and T and C and the rest of them…
I want to start painting on clothes too… some nice suits n stuff…
I have so many ideas… i just wish i could get started on SOMETHING!
I can at least start with my studies, because my first modules have arrived! YAY!!

Who would ever have thought that _I_ would be excited to study???
:)

*wave*

starting to get it together

OK! I made it through the move! With bruised shins and aching back, but i made it!
I finally made enough space for my new desk, and also managed to unpack my computer etc!
I’m online! Yay!
My room is starting to look like a room and not a box store and my cat has made herself comfortable on my bed (which i can now sleep in!)(as long as i don’t disturb the cat, of course)
(she’s watching me closely from the bed now… i must be careful what i type… )
(see moblog)
I must start walking the dogs in the morning, as i promised them I would.
It’s so good to be home, with all my animals… starting to get into a routine and all that.
Still riding every afternoon with J (and T and J on occasion as well) and having a blast.
Haven’t been able to catch C to speak to her about “Things”, but I will as soon as i see her.
I also need to speak to C about working at her shop, which would be super cool.

All the horses at SAFCOL are well again, thank goodness!
Went for a ride today with J and Braves – who was his normal bouncy happy self.
It was an interesting ride – 4 of us out together, the mad squad! Me and J and J and T.
T is loony, she sings and talks away, never stops! It’s fun to ride with her and Chief though, she’s very sweet.

I haven’t been paid out anything yet, so i’m exceptionally broke right now – clinging on by the teeth. I was meant to get my first payout (leave pay) today, but nothing came through that I saw. *sigh*
I hope i get it soon – i have bills to pay!
