just a little note that my blog has moved (finally) to my domain…
you can find it here
Called the same thing, but just in a different place

ok.
so the boy’s deployment details have changed radically.
he’s no longer going to Germany first (from august)..
he is now, apparently, just going with a unit, straight from Hawaii, back to Iraq. September or November.
So now.
i HAVE to get to Hawaii.
I was hoping to go to Germany in September (as it’s way cheaper to get a ticket… about half the price of a ticket to Hawaii) but now that’s not an option.
So Hawaii here I come.
I just have to do it.
So. I need money.
urgenly, and in large amounts.
i’m working my ass off, but every little bit helps.
so please buy my art.
also - any suggestions on how to get some relatively easy money, quickly, would be appreciated.
i’m going to be sending some stock photos in to iStock… since the new camera is so spiffy she makes everything look good, and the quality is superb.
HELP. STOP.
SEND MONEY.
STOP.
I NEED TO FLY.
STOP.
i was given a mission
this mission was track #9
so.. counting the intro, it’s one song
but NOT counting the intro, it’s another
both songs are equally funky with super beats and awesome lyrics…
so now i have to wait to see which one was meant!
but either way, i’m smiling. from ear to ear.
thank you baby.
and the scorching sun and the boiling wind…
Saturday was a killer… i was so hot (and tired - thanks TJ! ) that i felt quite sick and had to hide in the shade of Anthea’s tent (thanks so much to Anthea’s mum, who kept me enthralled with delightful stories and anecdotes about the horsey world) for most of the day - i just couldn’t bare to stand out in that sun and the hot wind… it was awful.. a waste of a day really… i started out ok, but lost focus very quickly as the temperature soared.
I actually don’t like big shows like AGRI… too much happening at once, i feel so bad about the people i miss, who happen to be in other arenas or at other times - or on the days i missed (due to not having a car, or whatever)
Sunday was much better - it started so nicely (thanks TJ!) and ended even better (wow!) - and i was focused and smiling, despite the heat (at least there was a little breeze that blew up every now and then to cool people down momentarily) and i got some good shots. The sun moved SO quickly though, and it was difficult to find good spots… i’m going through the shots now and I hope i don’t have to delete as many as i think i’m going to have to…
My apologies to everyone though - i did my best on Sunday to get different things and different arenas - there were a few classes i COULD NOT miss (Cath’s first open grade course for one thing!!) and the championship classes i was expected to be at ![]()
I think i was also a little … frustrated… because my new camera is on the way and every shot i took with my (albeit AWESOME) little D50 was kind of a let down, because i know what’s coming… and how much better it’s going to be!
Thanks for the little chat, Kevin, lifted me a bit
Small world indeed, eh?
So i’m busy sorting photos and I’ll get them up as fast as i can - even with daily … distractions (As nice as they are)

anyone know of any opportunities for a (talented and professional) photographer, in North Carolina? Or Germany… it all depends.
ok so TJ is more than just a friend. far more than that.
i am willing to drop everything and go - it must be something special
something has clicked - like a light going on inside.
he’s even told his mom about me. his MOM!
“only the good things - which is everything” he said.
a hopeless romantic who loves horses (and all animals!) is honest and bighearted, a twisted sense of humour like mine, sarcastic and snarky, like me… _so_ much in common. makes me laugh till my stomach hurts… and smile so much my jaw aches… makes me so comfortable.
doesn’t hide anything from me - i ask, he answers - no bullshit, no lies. no walls.
no STRINGS. it’s like a gale of fresh air, not just a breath! blown all the cobwebs away, all the heartache…
everyone has been commenting on how _well_ i look, how happy i seem… well now you know why.
it’s all him. (and A.T of course - but the A.T helped me be open to new things and new people and he is that “people”)
and i’m so glad.
he is so special.
i can’t keep it in anymore.
there. out in the open.

Had a lovely toddle with Alchemy and Stormy this afternoon (we braved the howling south easter - and glad we did because it died down once we got out of the wind tunnel)
and it turned out very exciting for J, as she was offered the ride on TWO horses, for free.
We got into conversation with a lady, leaving her yard, about elderly horses, and she said she had two who she could no longer ride (operations had her off to months) and she was so glad to see that Al and Stormy got to go out. We explained that Al was newly retired from riding, and Stormy, well he’s a Shetland, so we clearly can’t ride him ![]()
She said it would be SO nice to have a teenager to just hack them out(For free), just to get them out.
And i pointed at J (ok so she’s not a teenager, but she’s young) and the lady said she should come by later (she was on her way out, afterall) and have a look at the two elderly boys - Regal (21) and Bacchus (20), thoroughbred and Hanoverian, respectively.
So on our way back with Al and Pony, we popped in and J went down to the stables to meet the old men.
Regal apparently instantly took to her - which is very cool - and Bacchus will be her first ever ride on a warmblood. He’s apparently very nervous, because he was badly abused when he was young, but not a meanie. And Regal is a big softy who just likes to plod - which is also fine for J, as she’s used to both types.
She will try them out on Monday - going out on a ride with T (the lady who owns them) - and of course let me know.
She’s so excited, it’s scary.
I said i was very happy for her, and it was wonderful if it worked out. I was just concerned that she still keep in touch with Alchemy (because he loves her to bits) and that we go for our toddles with Stormy together - she said of course.
So we’ll both be busy with lots of rides, which is awesome. I’m so pleased for her - she really was miserable about not being able to ride Alchemy anymore. He’s such a special horse.
Opportunities arise in all sorts of strange places, it seems…
I’m glad i opened my mouth and pointed J out.

Isn’t he gorgeous?
I finally worked out how to get the photos from my cellphone! Yay clever me!
Still going strong and 19 years old - the incredible Hakahana Anjuli and her beloved rider Mandy.
